Second to last day for June! Today's animal is Hippo.
I drew Owen and Mzee, which is obviously an "old" story but I watch a lot of Animal Planet, so these things stay really present in my mind. Its such an adorable story and it only makes me a little bit sad that they've since been separated.
And paul drew a Hippo in a fancy restaurant.
He's quite fancy, he's got lots of wine, a fruit basket, in fact, he's drinking from two glasses, quite the gourmand I would say.

Otter today. Paul's otter is my favorite of his all month, wait till you see it, you're going to think its awesome too. I went with Two Sailor Otters.

Today is Flying Squirrel! Totally awesome animals, aren't they? It would be an awesome pet, gliding around like a super hero. I didn't realize until today that Rocky was/is a Flying Squirrel, I only ever really remember Bullwinkle.
And Paul also did an awesome Flying Squirrel. I think we've both been coming up with better and better ideas as the month has progressed. Don't forget to suggest animals for the July list here.

Today's animal is Tortoise. Have you ever seen a tortoise eat? It looks difficult, I guess that's what happens when you have a really heavy body and can't use your arms or hands to help you. I've seen it on Animal Planet, I can't remember the show, but it was interesting.
Paul has such great ideas, I'm always so surprised but happy to see what he comes up with.
I like their digital look.

Today is crocodile, although Paul and I kept saying alligator the entire time. I drew two crocs playing croquet. Crocodile Croquet. Lionel, on the left, is telling Dudley the rules of the game. He's also been making fun of Dudley the entire time because he over-dressed for the occassion.

Yesterday day's animal was owl. It took me a while to get these uploaded because I was waiting for Paul to finish his. All of these days have been blending together and we've been really busy. I'll catch up again tonight with Crocodile since we've already finished those.
And Paul was inspired by an Owl he saw online.

I picked the Rhino for today, following Flamingo yesterday, because at one time it was one of Paul's favorites. I'm not sure if it still is or not, but I had a lot of fun drawing this happy guy. Little rhino on a Pennyfarthing. (my obsession with bicycle's continues.)
Paul did a paint-by-number.... but didn't paint it. This could be a fun project, creating a paint-by number from a drawing or photograph.
Can you believe its already Friday? Eek! This week has been busy in the best way, but I'm looking forward to taking an easier work schedule this weekend.

Hello Day 22! Wow, this month has flown by, like a flamingo which is today's animal. I used to have an embarrassingly large collection of flaming stuff that has slowly dissipated over the past few years. But I still have a soft spot for pink things with feathers. Here is my animal doodle.
A little different than my "normal" style but still fun to experiment.
